Approximately 15 months after reaching the NABERS rating trigger of 75% occupancy, 480 Queen Street has achieved a 5 star NABERS Energy Base Building rating (ahead of our contractual obligations with Dexus).
Achieving the rating has not been without its challenges and it required close monitoring of the building energy consumption, modifications to the services installations and fine tuning throughout the NABERS rating period. The NABERS model had a relatively small buffer due to the elimination of the Tri-generation system which would have provided a comfortable buffer, although at considerable additional cost.
Congratulations to the 480 Queen team, the service subcontractors in particular BSA, the ESD consultants Cundall and Team Catalyst and in particular to Jeremy Turnbull and Tony Froio, in meeting this important milestone.”
